Happy Groundhog Day! Our Tuesday Birmingham business predictions

do something great Happy Groundhog Day! Our Tuesday Birmingham business predictions

As our northern neighbors experience snowy conditions, Punxsutawney Phil still managed to spot his shadow this morning, forecasting six more weeks of winter. Personally, I’m waiting to hear what Birmingham Jill has to say about the matter.

Given this week’s chilly weather, I wouldn’t be mad about an early spring. As we wait on the whims of Mother Nature, let’s fill this morning with a little less speculatory news, including open jobs, business events and buzzy info.

A few things we can predict

🌟 More vaccination sites. 💉 UAB announced it will soon offer three appointment-only COVID-19 vaccination sites in Jefferson County. Parker High School and the Hoover Met are joining the current downtown UAB Hospital-Highlands site as community vaccination locations.

🌟  Snow. snow and more snow. At least 20 inches is expected to accumulate by the time the snowfall ends in NYC on Tuesday. According to James Spann, there’s a chance Alabama could see snow as well, but the jury is still out.

🌟  A historic nomination. The Black Lives Matter movement was nominated for a 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. Celebrate this news and Black History Month with events across Alabama.
