YWCA Central Alabama is currently hiring an AmeriCorps member for its Building Communities, Bettering Lives AmeriCorps program. Qualified candidates interested in full-time, paid service in the St. Clair County area are welcomed to apply. The available position is with Our Place-Pell City, a non-disclosed shelter for victims of domestic violence. The AmeriCorps service position would be a critical part of the shelter operation and ideal for applicants with social work or nonprofit experience or interest.
- Stipend of $1200/month (pre-taxes)

AmeriCorps positions start September 1 and conclude August 31, 2021. All positions are full-time, Monday through Friday during normal business hours with some evening and weekend expectations.
