New deli coming to Trussville + 4 more Birmingham openings that will make your day
Sandwich lovers, get ready to try a brand new deli. According to their website, Red Bird’s Deli, owned by Trussville natives Dustin and Brandon Morgan will be opening soon. Southtown Court’s past, present and future in Birmingham
For the past six months, demolition has been taking place in Southtown Court, set to be redeveloped into a mixed-use housing and community space. As of Monday, May 2, most of the area has been leveled. Once demolition is fully complete, 560 housing units and building space will be available for groceries, retail and a hotel. The first step of redevelopment is a 60-unit affordable housing block.
Local shop Lamb’s Ears closing after 29 years in the community—shop until June 8
After serving the community for over 29 years, the owners of Lamb’s Ears in Mountain Brook have announced their retirement. The store will be running sales now until its closing date on June 8, selling everything from inventory to fixtures. Stop by 70 Church St and bid farewell to the shop offering quaint home decor and fun gifts.
NEW residential development Kindred Square coming to Avondale
Moving plans? Why not live within walking distance of Avondale faves like Avondale Brewing, Post Office Pies and Big Spoon Creamery? Kindred Square, a community of single-family modern row houses is slated to begin construction this summer. There will be six three-bedroom and two one-bedroom homes that range from two to three stories tall, all with a private balcony and parking on site. Learn more.
