5 things we love at Avondale Brewing Co., including a golf simulator [VIDEO]

Avondale Brewing Co. (or simply “Avondale” as it’s more commonly known) is a Birmingham staple. Locals and guests alike flock to the brewery for good times, good food and, of course, great beer. Today, we’re sharing our favorite parts of the Avondale campus, from private event space to a fancy new golf simulator. Let’s get into it.
1. Avondale’s 18 beers & sours on tap 🍻
Birmingham is heaven for craft beer lovers. And with 12 beers and six sours on tap, you can count on Avondale to have something for everyone. Bonus? All beers and seltzers on draft are brewed on the property. It doesn’t get fresher than that.
Avondale loyalists will be thrilled to hear that their Imperial Brown Ale (aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels!) is back for December. Don’t fret, non-beer drinkers. They also offer festive cocktail specials all month long and are playing holiday movies every Thursday in December.

2. “The Upstairs,” their signature event space 👰
Seeking a perfectly picturesque spot for a rehearsal dinner, party or wedding reception? Look no further. Avondale’s signature event space, known fondly as “The Upstairs,” has you covered.
Because the facility is in a restored historic building, it’s the perfect marriage of old-world charm and modern amenities. You can book the space on their website.
3. Cinderella Story, Avondale’s on-site golf simulation experience ⛳
Now this one is FUN. We got the chance to try out Avondale‘s new golf simulator, Cinderella Story. Great news—I can confirm that absolutely zero golf skills are required to enjoy.
It’s the perfect way to play a round…temperature-controlled and only steps away from delicious beer on tap. That, my friends, is my kind of golf game.

4. Plenty of outdoor space for concerts, game days and pups 🐶
Sunny Saturdays are best spent at a brewery. Enjoy our Alabama “winters” in the brewery’s dog-friendly vast green space.
They host fun events like concerts and community events, and have the prime spot to catch a game. So, grab your crew and head on over. And if you get hungry while you’re there…
5. Tasty bites from Avondale Burger Co. 🍔
Don’t miss Avondale Burger Co., the brewery’s very own food truck. Run by chef Nick Carpenter, it serves up delicious bites Wednesday-Sunday.
Menu highlights include Smoked Brisket Poutine, Chili-lime Pork Rings, Beer Battered Baja Fish Tacos and, of course, plenty of delicious burgers.
