For all of you HP fans out there, you won’t want to miss this yuletide treat. Ever really, really wanted to go to the Yule Ball? Well, now’s your chance! Tomorrow, both Barnes and Noble at Patton Creek and the Summit are hosting a “Magical Holiday Ball.”

As a southerner, giving gifts is an art in itself. It is my humble opinion that the people of the South take great pride in knowing just what to give our loved ones to celebrate special occasions. You know, by doing things like committing their Amazon wish lists to memory. Or, scrolling through their social media photos to understand their fashion preferences and personal style.
It was a night to remember.
A full house. Avondale Brewery had to put out extra chairs. The crowd started arriving 30 minutes early, to secure good seats. And Dr. Jim McClintock captivated the audience of 75+ for 50 minutes with a passionate talk about Antarctica, climate change, solutions and the future.

Rock will be performing at the BJCC Concert Hall on March 24 at 8 p.m. Tickets officially go on sale December 9 via Ticketmaster, but you can get them here on Wednesday during the presale, with a password.
