Shelby County follows the Magic City with Revitalization

Restoring, but never forgetting, the old buildings in a city is needed to progress through the years.

What better way for Columbiana to ring in the New Year by restoring the Davis Drug Company building – the first of many.

Recreational Park Approved for HWY 280

Where 280 and 119 meet, you know, where the Chick-fil-a is located, will eventually be home to a new development called Tattersall Park.

The land, which has been seemingly vacant for years, will begin its redevelopment process by introducing Next Levl (reported on earlier) as the first tenant.

New Neighborhood for Alabaster Coming Soon, if Decisions are Made…

With the surge of commercial and residential throughout Birmingham, our city is growing without a doubt.

South of the Magic City, Alabaster’s Planning and Zoning Commission is close to a decision which will bring the municipal larger residential possibilities.

A developer has proposed a new neighborhood on currently vacant land near the Navajo Hills subdivision, center. The Alabaster Planning and Zoning Commission will vote on pre-zoning for the development on Jan. 24. (Contributed)

Poised for Demolition, the Fate of Southtown is yet to be Decided

There are a variety of housing projects in the Birmingham city limits and with the expanse of real estate development, some are becoming questionable assets.

Southtown, located between St. Vincent’s Hospital and UAB, is “set” to be demolished, but after Monday’s planned discussions, its future still is not clear.

Pizitz Reveal Kitchen Names First Tenant

Among the variety of revitalized buildings is one that stands out – Pizitz, a REV Birmingham project.

The mixed use project will offer commercial and residential spaces as well as feature Birmingham’s Reveal Kitchen to take in foodie entrepreneurs, and make their business grow even further.

Tropicaleo, winner of REV Birmingham’s Big Pitch Competition, will be the first tenant of the Reveal Kitchen!

Uptown is upgrading to EV charging stations

With electric vehicles becoming more and more popular, Birmingham is working towards accommodating the environmentally friendly move. There have been sightings across the city for charging stations for these vehicles that are much needed. For example, you may have seen some EV charging stations in Five Points behind Jimmy John’s. Now, Uptown is joining the club!
