This morning someone drove through the front entrance of the Historic Virginia Samford Theatre on Southside. The crash shattered the glass, knocking over the entrance light fixture and the Christmas tree inside. The force of the crash deployed the car’s air bags.
We were unable to obtain additional details about the driver or how the accident occurred.

Technology, Entertainment, and Design – TED Talks are all about adding value by providing info sessions on the up and coming tech., daily news, and innovation that will shape our future.
With independent volunteer initiatives throughout the country, licensed under TED, cities like Birmingham are able to feature local innovators, entertainers, and otherwise to give you updates on what is going on!

Traditional refreshments at Carmike’s two Hoover locations might start including beer and wine. Carmike is now proposing to the City of Hoover permission to serve alcohol at their locations.

With electric vehicles becoming more and more popular, Birmingham is working towards accommodating the environmentally friendly move. There have been sightings across the city for charging stations for these vehicles that are much needed. For example, you may have seen some EV charging stations in Five Points behind Jimmy John’s. Now, Uptown is joining the club!
