Mexican restaurant on Crestwood Boulevard has closed

Baja California Cantina Grill, an authentic Mexican restaurant on Crestwood Boulevard, has closed.

Bham Now confirmed the closure after reaching out to the restaurant’s sister location, Baja California Cantina Grill in Gardendale. The eatery has also removed its website and Facebook page.

Located at the former Olive Garden at 7701 Crestwood Blvd, the restaurant opened in January 2023, as announced by Bham Now. 

The closing in Birmingham leaves four Baja California Alabama locations in Hoover, Gardendale, Jacksonville and Rainbow City.

January 2024 Birmingham-area store closures

Birmingham has experienced several closures since the beginning of 2024. In the past week, the CVS on Clairmont Avenue announced they are closing in March.

Several notable restaurants have shuttered their doors, including Post Office Pies in Avondale and Civitas in English Village.
