New craft studio + creative learning space opening in Hoover

Let your creativity out of its shell at a new arts and crafts studio opening in Hoover this month.
The Painted Purple Turtle welcomes makers through its doors at the River Oaks Village shopping center on Saturday, Aug. 29 for a grand opening.
At the opening, guests can enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments, make-and-take projects while supplies last and a first look at some of the craft experiences that will be offered at The Painted Purple Turtle.
Crafts to do at The Painted Purple Turtle
The Painted Purple Turtle will be an open work space for makers and crafters, as well as a place to host private parties, learn new mediums and take part in a creative community.
Some of the classes that will be offered are:
- Wood projects
- Ceramic painting
- Stained glass
- Scent bar/candle making
- Splatter den/painting projects
