Bagel lovers in Birmingham just got another reason to celebrate — the fifth Einstein Bros. Bagels in the metro area is now open.

The new spot is located at 1430 Gadsden Hwy., Suite 100 near the I-459 Trussville exit.

Over the years, Birmingham residents have seen Einstein bagels sold at local Publix stores, but it had been a mystery why there were no standalone shops.

That all changed in 2026 with the opening of five locations in our community within the first eight months of the year.

Einstein Bros. is expanding rapidly nationwide with plans to open 300 additional stores by 2030.

In addition to its namesake bagels, Einstein’s is also known for its breakfast sandwiches.

A few signature breakfast items include:

  • Asiago Cheese Bagel
  • Blueberry Bagel
  • Pretzel Bagel
  • All-Nighter Egg Sandwich
  • Specialty coffees and teas
