CLOSING: The Pixel Room, Birmingham’s first selfie museum, to close in January

Locals will soon have to find a new place to take the ultimate selfie. After 3.5 years, The Pixel Room Birmingham has announced it will be closing its doors in January. Here’s the scoop.

About The Pixel Room Birmingham’s closure

The Pixel Room, Birmingham’s first selfie museum, opened in July 2020 at The Outlet Shops of Grand River in Leeds.

The interactive, Instagram-able venue featured a variety of colorful backdrops so visitors could snap the perfect photo.

Today, January 3, The Pixel Room shared via a post on Facebook and Instagram that it will be shutting its doors this month. The post reads:

“To all of our patrons and supporters,

We appreciate all the love and support you have given us over the last 3 and a half years. Thank you for trusting us with your lasting memories, magical moments and imaginative images. From parties to photoshoots to impromptu fun days, we are grateful to the thousands of you who chose The Pixel Room, Birmingham’s 1st Selfie Museum, to create a one-of-a-kind experience.
