An all-star team
Birmingham, you probably recognize the co-owners of this wine bar— Kristen Hall and Victor King of The Essential and Bandit Pâtisserie. Kristen Hall is the executive pastry chef and Victor King is the executive chef.
These co-owners are hoping to bring a “fête” to Bham, which means a celebration or party in French. In fact, you can have your own party in the lounge area, which is available for private events.
What’s on the menu?
You know this Parisian wine bar has an amazing lineup of many French wines. On evenings from Thursday to Sunday, a local guest sommelier will walk guests through the wine list, assist with tastings and give personalized pairing recommendations.
Not a wine drinker? There’s also a small selection of high-end spirits and local craft beers.
There’s more than just wine at Bar la Fête. Of course, there’s cheese because what else would you pair wine with? The menu is transporting Birmingham to the streets of Paris with French-inspired plates, including:
- Country pâte
- Grilled poulet rouge with ravigote
- Pan con tomate
- Parisian gnocchi with comte nacho cheese
- Passionfruit tarte tropezienne
- Peach and praline choux with white chocolate ganache
- Potato paté
