A new bar and restaurant just opened in Birmingham—The Harrington Pub at Pepper Place opened its doors on Oct. 22, 2026, serving up English-style pub food with a Southern twist and handcrafted cocktails.

English bar fare meets Southern cuisine at The Harrington Pub

The Harrington Pub located at 212 29th Street South is now open, welcoming diners in to the cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a neighborhood pub and cloaked in Southern charm.

That theme is carried on through the menu, where you’ll find familiar comfort food favorites with unexpected twists, like Shepherd’s pie with sweet potato topping.

Handcrafted, seasonal cocktails
- Ci-Duh: Vodka, apple cider, house-made caramel (this drink is comfort in a cup)
- Pumped Up: Spiced rum, pumpkin, lemon, egg white

Crispy eggplant tempura with gochujang
Chicken tikka
Shepherd’s pie
Fish + chips

The Harrington Pub has taken up residence in what used to be The Lumbar, which closed in April 2025. This Pepper Place storefront is next to Ignite Cycle and across from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.
