When this nationally recognized sports bar said they were coming to Birmingham a few years ago, they weren’t winging it. With two restaurants already sizzling in the city of Hoover, Walk On’s Sports Bistreaux could be in the process of adding a third location in the city of Trussville. Let’s check out the deets.

Can you hear the crowds cheering? After opening the first Walk On’s in Hoover during the fourth quarter of 2019 (AKA, December), franchisee owner Matt Roth is drawing up a game plan for Trussville.

According to the Birmingham Business Journal, Matt aims to break ground on the Trussville location early next year, 2022. This would be his third location in Birmingham and we can probably expect more to follow.

In case you missed it, there’s also anticipation to break ground within the next 30 days on a second Walk-On’s in Stadium Trace Village. Fans could expect to see it completed by September 2021. Just in time for football season—how convenient…🤔

More than wings + wins

The sports bar features fan favorites, including delicious donuts, that’ll have you doing DeVonta Smith’s touchdown guitar dance after each bite. But, the menu also hosts more unexpected items like crawfish etouffee, duck & andouille and alligator.

The food already sets it apart as a not-your-typical sports bar, but in a previous interview with owner Matt Roth, he says the clientele contributes to the unique environment as well.

Walk-On’s is family-friendly and instead of being 80/20 men to women like traditional sports bars, the restaurant is 50/50. Good food and good people? Count us in.
