Popular fashion retailer Garage reopening first Alabama location at The Summit

Magic City shoppers will soon have another spot to refresh their wardrobes. Garage Clothing, the Canadian fashion retailer known for its trend-forward denim, everyday basics and affordable styles, is opening a new store at The Summit.

Located next to Lizard Thicket and American Eagle Outfitters, the new shop joins The Summit’s growing lineup of fashion retailers, adding another option for casual apparel, denim, activewear and accessories.

While the brand is new to The Summit, longtime Birmingham shoppers may remember Garage’s former location at Riverchase Galleria in Hoover. The retailer originally opened in the area in 2015 before later closing its Galleria store.

Founded in Montreal in 1975, Garage has grown into a go-to destination for Gen Z and young millennial shoppers, now operating more than 300 stores across North America.

The opening reflects continued retail momentum at The Summit, which has recently added several new brands and is expected to welcome additional retailers making their Alabama debut in the coming months, including Aritzia and LoveShackFancy.

While an official opening date has not yet been announced, signage for Garage is already up at The Summit, signaling the upcoming arrival.
