Calling all budding thespians! Birmingham’s foremost theatre company, Red Mountain Theatre, will hold auditions later this month for “The Addams Family Young@Part.” This show is a Young@Part production for teens ages 13-18, which is an adaption of the Broadway musical for youth actors. REV Birmingham, an economic development nonprofit, released the state of downtown report covering how downtown has been affected by the pandemic and the clear-cut path to recovery. They have gathered enough data (business is on the rise!) to help BHM stakeholders plan for the future of downtown. Importantly, REV Birmingham believes our Magic City is in great shape to take advantage of this growth.

Greater Birmingham Humane Society and Jeffco close on a new property.

Great news for the puppies and cats of the humane society! Alongside the Jefferson County Commission, the Greater Birmingham Humane Society (GBHS) has bought a new property to build a Campus of Compassion. This development will benefit the animals and donors with its accessible design that maximizes interactions.
