It’s a new week in The Magic City, and that means a new roundup of businesses popping up across town.
From a new flower shop in Woodlawn to a fun pop-up coming to Pepper Place, here are five businesses that should be on your radar. Plus, one local business we’ll miss.

1. Dimples Flowers | Woodlawn
Dimples Flowers, the popular pop-up flower truck, officially opened its first brick and mortar storefront on Saturday, August 29 in the heart of Woodlawn. The new flower shop is a dream come true for owner Kendyl Jones, who has been operating the flower shop out of a truck regularly stationed at June Coffee in downtown Birmingham and Soho Social in Homewood.
The flower shop offers custom floral arrangements, event orders, build-your-own bouquets and more.

2. Aritzia | The Summit
Fashion retailer Aritzia opened its first Alabama location at The Summit in Birmingham today, Thursday, August 27. The boutique sits between Pandora and Altar’d State, bringing the brand’s “Everyday Luxury” concept to the Birmingham market for the first time.
Aritzia designs each boutique as an immersive shopping experience, including furniture areas and a massive dressing room space. On-site Style Advisors are also available for personalized styling appointments to help customers find the perfect outfit.

3. The Treebar | Woodlawn
A new spot for food, drinks and good vibes has officially arrived in Birmingham. Tree Bar & Courtyard is celebrating its grand opening with live music, food trucks and college football playing across all screens.
Located in Woodlawn, the new gathering spot is inviting Birmingham locals to grab their crew and come out.

4. Koi Revolving Sushi Bar | Hoover
A new interactive dining experience is gearing up to open at the Riverchase Galleria!
Koi Revolving Sushi Bar is set to open at the mall, bringing Birmingham its first rotating sushi restaurant. Its concept will give diners the chance to choose sushi as it makes its way around a revolving conveyor-style counter. It will be located on the second floor in the former home of Ruby Tuesday, near Cindy’s Cinnamon Rolls and Hollister Co.

5. Little Red Print Shop | Pepper Place
The Little Red Print Shop, known for hand-carved block prints and its tiny vending machines around Birmingham, is putting down roots at Pepper Place.
Printmaker Jessica Leitch announced the news on Instagram Tuesday, Aug. 25, sharing that her brick and mortar shop will open this fall for a nine-week holiday season run. Shoppers will be able to find handmade prints, gifts and goods made in collaboration with local makers.

6. Fresh Value | Trussville
Trussville shoppers will soon have one less grocery store to choose from. Fresh Value Trussville is closing its doors, with selected products currently being liquidated while supplies last.

Although this location is closing, our Fresh Value in Moody and Meat Depot in Huffman will remain open and ready to serve you with the same great value and friendly service.
