In January, we filled you in on exciting details about Bruce Willis’ newest movie, Assassin. The film is set to release Friday, March 31 and features iconic parts of Bessemer. Keep scrolling to learn how to watch plus view the trailer.
About the movie
For more than two weeks in June 2021, Willis was in Bessemer on the set of Assassin. Keep on the lookout for popular Bessemer spots such as the downtown, the historic Bessemer Train Depot, The Back Porch and Sam Dunn’s Saloon.
So, what’s the movie about? Assassin is a sci-fi action thriller that follows Valmora (Bruce Willis), leader of an elite CIA group who invents a futuristic microchip that enables the mind of an agent to inhabit the mind of another person to carry out deadly missions. The invention goes wrong when Agent Sebastian (Mustafa Shakir) is killed during a mission. His wife, Alexa (Nomzamo Mbatha), decides to take his place in an attempt to bring justice.
Bruce Willis’s last movie
Assassin is the last movie that features Willis, who retired from acting in 2022 due to a diagnosis of aphasia, a disorder that affects how you communicate.
IMDb states that signs of aphasia were becoming apparent while filming as he struggled to remember his lines. Although, we have no doubt that Willis’s performance will still be amazing—just like his other films. We’re also glad he got to spend some time in Bessemer.
Trailer + where to watch
