ABC’s “The Bachelor” filmed in Birmingham’s Donnelly House to air Monday, Feb. 25. We’ve got the details!
Birmingham’s Donnelly House will be featured on ABC’s The Bachelor Monday, February 25, when the show’s eligible bachelor of season 23, Colton Underwood
Colton and Hannah G. Forever? Maybe.
Schoettlin said that Colton and Hannah were absolutely smitten with each other during filming of their hometown date.
“It was so clear that they were so happy to see each other,” she said. “They were very touchy-feely the entire time. You could really tell they had a real connection and were very cute to watch!”
Each year on the show, the bachelor takes the last four women standing in the competition on a separate weekend hometown date. During the weekend, the bachelor gets to know the woman better and meet her family, which ultimately becomes a deciding factor on who gets the final rose.
SPOILER ALERT:
As for the date, Schoettlin said Colton and Hannah G. took a Southern manners class from a local etiquette instructor.
“He took an etiquitte lesson so he’d know how to act like a Southern gentleman while meeting her parents for the first time. It was so cute.”
The rest, she said, we’ll have to find out when the episode airs. She signed an agreement that she wouldn’t divulge the details!
She said that the producers met with her a couple days before they were set to start production in Birmingham to let her know what to expect.
On the days leading up to filming, Karen said that they completely rearranged the home, from top to bottom, and brought in loads of equipment to prepare to film the nationally aired program with a cult-like following.
“Out of so many beautiful places in Birmingham, I can’t believe they chose us. We were honored to have the cast and crew,” she said. “The entire team couldn’t have been any nicer.”

She was one of two women from Alabama to compete on season 23 of ABC’s The Bachelor. She’s one of the top 4 women still in the running for Colton’s heart.
About the Donnelly House
Today, the Donnelly House is a wedding and event venue. It has also hosted events held by various celebrities such as Jermaine Dupri and John Travolta.
This historic two-story Neo-Georgian home was constructed in 1905 and was once the home of the man considered to be the “father” of Birmingham’s Library System, James W. Donnelly.
Episode 8 of season 23 of “The Bachelor” will air Monday, February 25, from 8 – 10 PM on ABC streaming and on demand.
