Like in the discussions for the soon to be developed Topgolf facility, incentives are being highlighted by a North Carolina Developer to establish yet another Publix.

The possible project could experience a small 2 year window of completion, if the incentives are approved.
Tacking onto the Publix, there will also be 2 small retail spaces available.
Development Details:
- Publix – 46,000 Sq. Foot
- 2 Extra Spaces – 22,000 Sq Feet
- MAB American management LLC from Charlotte, N.C. is the development group
- Location – Corner of Lakeshore Parkway and Shannon Wenonah Rd.
If you recall the article of potential relocation of residents in the Loveman Village, they will be set to live about 4 miles away from this development, near Oxmoor Valley Elementary.
Considering this will possibly add to the incentive “package” for the long term affect – higher population = greater demand for new development, especial retail stores.

This will be a crown jewel and an asset to all the families that live in Southwest Birmingham.”
– Jay Roberson, Rep. for Bham’s District 7, told al.com
The deal has been in the works for about 5 months and has gained interest within the city council.
Recently, there have been 2 Publix supermarkets worked on and established in Birmingham – Patchwork Farms and the one at Midtown 20.
