Fire at Urban Standard

Fire crews were at the scene on 2nd Avenue North where smoke was coming from the roof near the kitchen.

Details:

Thermal Cameras were used by the fire department to determine the cause of the fire.  It appears to have started from a smoldering towel thrown in a hamper used to collect dirty towels and aprons.

Thankfully, no one was inside, but there was enough smoke damage to put the local coffee shop out of business for a little while.

“Urban Standard will likely be closed today, and the health department will have to do an inspection before it reopens.”

Stay tuned for reopening details, hopefully coming soon
