It’s a new week in The Magic City, and that means a new roundup of businesses popping up across town.

From a buzzy new bagel shop at The Summit to an exciting new hifi lounge and bar in Downtown Birmingham, here are six businesses that should be on your radar.

Now Open

1. PopUp Bagels | The Summit

At long last,Β New York City’s buzziest bagel crazeΒ has landed in Birmingham!Β PopUp Bagels, known for its small batch menu and β€œrip, grip and dip” approach to the classic New York style bagel, celebrated its grand opening Friday, 24 at The Summit.

On the surface, its menu is simple: a handful of classic bagels, cream cheese and butter. Their bagels don’t come halved with schmear in the middle, but on the side for ripping and dipping. The magic of PopUp Bagels is in its revolving door of seasonal schmears and butters, which change frequently and include flavors like hot honey, brown sugar cinnamon and jalapeΓ±o popper.

2. Daysol Coffee | Bluff Park

Daysol Coffee has completed its Bluff Park makeover in Hoover! The locally-owned coffee specialty coffee shop reopened in June solely under the Daysol banner after its Bluff Park Coffee Collective partnership with Good Neighbor Baking ended.

Located at Shades Mountain Plaza, the new neighborhood coffee shop is a treat for coffee-lovers, remote workers and families.

According to Qadeem and Speegle, Ralph’s Listening Room will begin with a series of soft openings the week of Monday, July 27 to help establish a rhythm behind the bar, refine service and make any adjustments before announcing a grand opening at a later date.
