At long last, New York City’s buzziest bagel craze has landed in Birmingham!
PopUp Bagels, known for its small batch menu and “rip, grip and dip” approach to the classic New York style bagel, is celebrating its grand opening Friday, 24 at The Summit.

PopUp Bagels celebrates first Alabama location
With 45+ locations in the U.S., PopUp Bagels has officially made its Alabama debut in Birmingham. You can find the shop at The Summit, between Chopt and Taco Mama.
PopUp Bagels has earned widespread coverage across food and business media nationwide since it came on the scene. It’s been named a viral success due to its large Tik Tok and Instagram presence—leading publications like The New Yorker to ask questions like “Are we living through a bagel renaissance?”
On the surface, its menu is simple: a handful of classic bagels, cream cheese and butter. Their bagels don’t come halved with schmear in the middle, but on the side for ripping and dipping.
