Today’s forecast is sunny with a chance of sprinkles because Bendy’s Cookies & Cream is coming to Trussville. Here’s the scoop.🍦
The new location
While I don’t play favorites when it comes to ice cream, Bendy’s is one spot you’re sure to love un-cone-ditionally.
The business began to take shape in 2014 with newlyweds Ben and Wendy (“Bendy”). After buying and converting a 1990 Chewy P30 step van into a food truck in 2015, Bendy’s officially took to the streets of Birmingham in 2016 to sell their tasty ice creams and cookies. The result—they were a hit! So much so that they opened their first storefront in Cahaba Heights in 2019.
Now, according to their Facebook, the duo has their scoops set on Trussville. The shop will be located in the city’s quickly growing downtown behind Half Shell Oyster House at the newly built retail strip. They’ll be found two doors down from City Bowls, which is also expected to open sometime in spring 2022.
What they offer
If you haven’t been to Bendy’s before, they offer a rotating menu of delicious ice cream and cookies.
Ice cream flavors vary with options like Chocolate, Strawberry Buttermilk and Maple Praline Pecan and can be paired with cookies like Chocolate Chip ore M&M, Snickerdoodle or Peppermint Patty. View their menu.
