A new Burlington-or, as many folk know, Burlington Coat Factory-is coming to Trussville.

According to the Trussville Tribune, early construction is underway to establish the popular retail department store at the Promenade at Tutwiler Farms on U.S. Highway 11 in the former Bed, Bath and Beyond location. The Tribune’s sources say the store will open in 2022.

4th Burlington in Birmingham Metro

Burlington is in the midst of a big expansion nationwide. The company, which turns 50 next year, went public in 2013. Earlier this year, they announced their plans to double the number of Burlington stores nationwide.

The store in Trussville will be the Birmingham area’s 4th location. This fall, on November 19th, a new Burlington was opened in the Brook Highland area off Hwy. 280. The other two Burlington establishments are in Crestwood and Hoover off of Hwy 31.

More than Coats

A deep discount department store, Burlington built its reputation on providing high quality coats. Over the years they have diversified offering:

  • Apparel
  • Home goods such as towels and linens
  • Beauty items and more.

During the Christmas holidays the company is also known for holding a nationwide coat drive. Here are the details.

Now that the weather is turning colder, now might be a good time for a new coat and more.
