City Bowls’ new location + more new businesses coming to Trussville

The City of Trussville has been welcoming new businesses lately, including new dining options like City Bowls. City Bowls announced a new location set to open early Spring 2022 in Trussville. Keep reading to learn more about what’s coming to the city.

City Bowls + how they started

City Bowls is a family-owned business that offers nutritious and tasteful menu options known as “superfruit smoothie bowls”. Each bowl includes one of the following delish options:

• Açaí
• Pitaya
• Spinach + fruit

Then each base’s primary ingredient is blended with various fruits (depending on the recipe) and toppings. Try the OG açaí bowl—you won’t regret it.

The smoothie bowl company first started in 2017 as a food truck, and quickly made their mark in the Magic City. The following year, they opened their first storefront in Vestavia Hills. Overall, City Bowls has four locations and now, Trussville will be the fifth.

According to the Trussville Tribune, Barber Companies has been renovating the property known as the “Old Bowling Alley” and City Bowls will be on of the establishments to move into that building.

Five Guys’ new Trussville location

In addition to City Bowls, Five Guys is taking over the former Zoës Kitchen in the Homestead Village Shopping Center in Trussville. Who says you can’t drink shakes in Fall?

Five Guys’ signage is now up and their doors will be opening soon.
