Huge news for Woodlawn: Trynab Studios is moving to First Ave. N. As the first Latina-owned studio in the Woodlawn area, owner Leslie Gomez is stoked about opening their new space. A little background on Trynab Studios: they sell upcycled vintage clothing, and all of their pieces are unique—so you’ll never see the same thing twice.

The best part? Their studio doubles as a creative work space that you can book as an hourly rental. This Birmingham opening recently had their grand opening on October 23, so be sure to make an appointment and head on out to shop. Also, head their Instagram to check out their styling inspiration—it’s amazing.

“Trynabstudios is a woman-owned studio shop for all your vintage & upcycled clothing needs in Birmingham, AL that also doubles as a creative studio space offering hourly rentals for photography, workshops & pop-ups!”

We always love a new boutique, and what better way to celebrate the upcoming holiday season than with a new one at The Summit? This boutique sells trendy clothes, jewelry that is perfect for your next night out and great basics to layer with as the weather starts to turn. Owner Barbie Kauffman stays busy preparing for their Grand Opening in early November, and you don’t want to miss it. Because they are celebrating the new opening, they’re hosting raffle contests for your next Apricot Lane shopping spree. In order to enter, all you have to do is stop by the store and provide your contact information.

Head on over to this new Birmingham opening at The Summit today for all your holiday party needs or just to be styled for a weekend on the town. They’ll be glad to see you there. Also, it’s important to know that Apricot Lane is located right beside Fruitta Bowls—so no wrong turns here.

New wine bar alert! Bar la Fête is your next wine destination in the heart of Birmingham. Coming in early 2022, this new spot will feature a great selection of fine wines, beers and high-end spirits with food to pair. Coming from the minds that brought you The Essential and Bandit Patisserie, Kristen Hall and Victor King, you know it’s bound to be tasty. Since the concept centers around Parisian culture, you know the decor is going to be magnificent.

We haven’t even gotten to the best part. Adjacent to Bar la Fête will be another Bandit Patisserie location, serving up delectable pastries in an intimate way. A “petite pâtisserie,” is what they’re calling it, and we can’t wait to have all the French ambiance added to Mercantile on Morris. This new Birmingham opening will have us sprinting to Mercantile on Morris faster than you can say “oui”.

  • Location: 2212 1st Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35203
  • Contact: TBD—check out Bandit and The Essential for a sneak peek
