  • Fri, Feb 26-Sun, May 7: Go on a DINO-mite Jurassic Quest, a drive-thru dinosaur adventure at Alabama Adventure and Splash Adventure. Times. $49 per vehicle/$80 per vehicle with 9-15 passengers. Tickets.
  •  Fri, Feb 26: Find out who the sharpest + more creative minds are in advertising during the American Advertising Awards. This year’s event is virtual with hosts bringing you all the action live from the Alys Stephens Center. AAF Non-Members – $35 | AAF Members – $25 | Students – FREE. Tickets
  • Sat, Feb 27: Energize your mind and wow your senses, visit McWane Science Center for an Engineering Showcase. Take part in engineering design challenges, watch demonstrations from local engineering professionals/companies + more. 10AM-5PM. General Admission. Tickets available online + at door. 
  • Fri, Feb 26-Sun, Feb 28: Looking for an invite? These open houses have entryways so welcoming you’ll feel right at home. 
  • Fri, Feb 26-Sun, Feb 28: Throughout the month of February, Junior League of Birmingham (JLB) + Youth Towers has been helping tackle food insecurity. To join the effort, purchase items in need from this Amazon wishlist + have them shipped directly to the JLB.

According to UAB, based on the number of vaccinations administered, the US could be approaching herd immunity by late spring.

🔹 Herd immunity occurs when enough people become immune to a disease to make its spread unlikely.
🔹 For this to happen, 72% of the population needs to either be exposed or vaccinated for COVID-19.
