The Shelby County Reporter and Birmingham Business Journal reported this evening that the closures came shortly after Evans Meats, Inc. filed suit on Monday, April 27 in Shelby County Circuit Court against Pihakis and 20 affiliated restaurants.

Several PRG restaurants have closed this month related to the group’s financial troubles.

In addition to the Valley Post closures, the following Birmingham-area restaurants are no longer operating:

  • Tasty Town
  • Hero Diner at Stadium  Trace in Hoover
  • Hero Diner in Trussville
  • Hero Diner at Railroad Park

The Shelby County Reporter also reported the closure of the Rodney Scott’s BBQ location in Trussville.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned to Bham Now for updates about the status of PRG restaurants in Birmingham and beyond.
