Another Birmingham-area Hero Diner location has closed its doors—at least for now.

A sign posted Monday morning at Hero Diner’s Railroad Park location at 1701 First Ave. S. says the restaurant is “temporarily closed.”

The sign reads:

“This location is temporarily closed at this time. We invite you to visit us at our Homewood location. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to serving you there.”

The closure comes just weeks after HERO’s Hoover location at Stadium Trace Village permanently shuttered on April 12. That same day, Tasty Town Greek Restaurant in Parkside—also owned by Pihakis Restaurant Group (PRG)—abruptly closed.

Meanwhile, HERO’s Trussville location closed April 17.

A company representative previously said a third-party consultant has been brought in to evaluate the business and its remaining restaurant operations, according to the Birmingham Business Journal.

Remaining restaurants in the Birmingham area include:

  • Luca Lagotto (Homewood)
  • Hero Diner (Homewood)
  • Joyland (Avondale)
  • Magnolia Point (Southside)
  • Little Donkey (Homewood)
  • Rodney Scott’s BBQ (Homewood)
  • Valley Post (Chelsea)

At this time, it is unclear when (or if) the Railroad Park location will reopen.
