Reading time: 2 minutes
According to recent social media posts, a local boutique in Inverness Corners will be closing. Gameday In Style Boutique, which has been selling gameday apparel, jewelry and merchandise since 2009, will close permanently on February 29.
Retiring after over a decade in business
For the past 15 years, Gameday In Style has been a staple for college gameday outfits, handmade jewelry, shoes, handbags and more.
In a video posted to the store’s Facebook, owner Sylvia Gonda announced that she plans to retire and close the store. At 70 years old with a newborn granddaughter, Gonda says she’s ready to focus on the next chapter of her life.
“Even though this is going to be very hard for me, because the store has been my home for the last ten years, I have made great friendships and I am very grateful for that. Thank you all for supporting the store, and for supporting me and becoming my personal friends. I will miss you all. In the meantime, come to the store and shop all the great deals!”
