What’s happening: Irondale coffee roaster Red Bike Coffee is opening their first brick-and-mortar location in the former Crestwood Coffee space. Red Bike small-batch roasts beans to supply at coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores. The new location is slated to open in December.

Why it matters: You probably already recognize delicious Red Bike coffee from shops around town. As the former coffee supplier at Crestwood Coffee, it was the perfect opportunity for them to take over the space.

“We’re a neighborhood coffee shop first and foremost. The thing that’s particularly special about Crestwood is that it’s a cross-section of the community.”
