NEW: Aww Shucks opening in Avondale this fall—celebrate at Aww Shucks Fall Festival, Sept 24
Gourmet fire-roasted corn food truck Aww Shucks is adding a new location this fall. Keep reading to learn more about the expansion and how you can celebrate at the Aww Shucks Fall Festival on September 24.
Aww Shucks opening in Avondale
If you haven’t tried Aww Shucks’ fire-roasted corn yet, trust me, it’s a must. The flavors are unbeatable and the perfect snack for vegans, vegetarians or literally anyone.
The beloved food truck plans to open a new location in North Avondale late this fall, according to a news release from the City of Birmingham. The new location will have all of their delicious fire-roasted corn flavors, their skillet corn-stuffed baked potatoes and a selection of roasted vegetables.
Since coming up with the idea as a weekend hustle in 2020, Aww Shucks has become a full-blown Birmingham business.
“Aww Shucks started July 4, 2020, and it was just supposed to be a job we did on the weekends. Little did we know it would take over both of our lives. We don’t get much rest because we love what we do, and when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.”

Aww Shucks Fall Festival—September 24
Earlier this week, Mayor Woodfin declared September 24 as “Aww Shucks Day” in honor of what the Powells have achieved.
