Happy National Dog Day, Birmingham! To celebrate, we’re tagging along with one of our content producer’s dogs, Sam, for the perfect day in the life of a dog in Bham. Let’s do it!

Morning coffee at Red Mountain Expresso

Obviously, we have to start the day off with coffee. The drive through at Red Mountain Expresso makes our morning coffee run as easy as possible.

PLUS: Sam knows he’ll be getting a milk bone before we even make it to the window.

Play time at Remy’s Dog Park

There so many amazing dog parks to choose from in the Birmingham area and Remy’s is one of our favorite. Remy’s was a passion project developed by local philanthropist Ken Jackson, who named the park after his beloved dog. It’s the perfect place to get your pup’s morning energy out.

Lunch at Soho Social

Lunch, dinner, happy hour…we’ll take any reason to sit outside on the patio at Soho Social. They have the friendliest staff who always sneak in a few extra treats and a water bowl for Sam.

Stay in tip-top shape at Birmingham Animal Hospital + Resort

It’s so important to make sure our pups are staying healthy while they have all this fun. Birmingham Animal Hospital + Resort is one of our favorite vets in town to make sure Sam is staying as healthy as possible.

Walk along Rotary trail

As you know, Birmingham is full of the best walking spots. Rotary Trail is one of our favorite spots to get our steps in and stop at a few fun places along the way. We always stop at Good Dog Bar and Dog Park on our Rotary Trail walks—it’s the perfect place to stop in for a drink and let your pups make friends.

Dinner at Back Forty

Dinner at Back Forty Beer Company is a weekly occurrence for us. There’s room to play, lots of spaced-out outdoor seating, and the food and beer for the dog owners can’t be beat. What better way to celebrate National Dog Day?!

End the day at The Grocery Brewpub

The Grocery is 100% Sam’s favorite spot in town. Dogs are welcome both inside the bar and on the patio outside. When the weather is nice, the garage doors are open and there’s almost always live music to enjoy. We love ending our day here.
