Birmingham is in the top 15 most pet-friendly cities
What’s happening: We’ve got some paw-some news about The Magic City. According to a study by Wallethub, Birmingham is ranked as #15 out of the most pet-friendly cities in America.
Why it’s important: The metrics used to determine the rankings took the well-being of our pets into account, including walkability, pet-care provider rate, veterinary care costs and pet businesses per capita. Birmingham ranked high overall, meaning it’s a great place to raise + care for your fur-baby.
Regions Field named among Best Minor League Baseball Parks
What’s happening: Regions Field was named among the “Best Minor League Baseball Parks” across America, according to Stadium Talk. The list, in no particular order, highlighted the smaller baseball venues across the country.
Why it’s important: We love seeing Regions Field garner national recognition. Here’s what Stadium Talk author Craig Lazzeretti had to say:
“Less than six years old, Regions Field is among the newest parks in the minors, but it was designed to reflect the town’s industrial past by incorporating brick and steel into its facade. It also is among the most family-friendly parks in the minors, featuring a Youth Sports Zone housing a mini Wiffle ball field, a family fun park and batting cages.”
