Studio 314 Dance opened this season at 720 Old Towne Road, bringing a full slate of classes — from 2-year-olds taking their first ballet steps to high school seniors on the competition team — along with a mission rooted in biblical scripture.

Why Studio 314 Dance chose its name

The studio’s name is a nod to Jeremiah 31:4, which reads, “Again you will dance with the joyful.” Founder Morgan Maddox Cunningham said that verse shaped the studio’s purpose from the start.

“Our heart is to create more than just a dance studio. We want Studio 314 to be a place where dancers are encouraged, challenged, inspired, and deeply valued both inside and outside the classroom.”

Studio 314 Dance says its mission is to give dancers a safe, joyful environment paired with a strong technical foundation. The studio says it’s committed to:

Dance classes for toddlers through high schoolers

The studio’s faculty brings more than 50 years of combined teaching experience across its programming, which spans:

Little Movers (ages 2-5): Ballet/tap combo classes offered multiple times a week
K-5th grade: Ballet, jazz, tap + hip-hop, including performance-track ballet
6th-12th grade: Contemporary/lyrical, pom/dance team, tap tech, jazz + pre-pointe/pointe, with classes running as late as 8:30PM for high schoolers

What it costs to dance at Studio 314

Tuition is billed monthly and scales with how many hours a dancer takes per week, starting around $80/month for a half-hour class and topping out at $415/month for eight or more hours, which caps tuition at an unlimited tier. Families with more than one dancer get 15% off for additional siblings, and there’s a one-time $40 registration fee per dancer.
