Birmingham’s SLIDE location in Irondale has permanently closed and the potential summer opening in Pelham has been canceled. However, Chef Ervin plans to open a new SLIDE location downtown near The Denham Building in Parkside in October 2022. The space will be over 4,000 square feet allowing her to showcase her creations.

“I am looking forward to seeing how trendy downtown Birmingham has become. With exciting new advancements in the area, such as The  World Games 2022, Protective Stadium, CityWalk BHM and many lofts, it is simply my type of energy. Plus, The Denham Building is within walking distance of Monday Night Social Club—sliders go well with beer!”

About SLIDE

Birmingham's SLIDE
It looks like a dream, doesn’t it? (Jacob Blankenship)

SLIDE was first opened by Chef Ervin as Eat at Panoptic after she grew her catering business to a food truck. She serves Southern comfort food with her own flair, dips and delicious sliders. Some sliders featured on her menu contain:

  • Chicken Pesto
  • BBQ Chicken
  • 12-hr Brisket

What to expect?

SLIDE’s new location will be easily accessible (and tempting) to not only residents of The Denham Building, but to Birmingham as a whole.  The restaurant’s menu will combine their past Irondale menu with several of Chef Ervin’s new creations that include:

  • 8 additional specialty sliders
  • 2 additional signature salads
  • 3 additional gourmet sides

She will also introduce vegan menu options so everyone is able to enjoy her mouthwatering talent. Are you hungry now?
