Adding to my must-try list. (Madison Croxson / Bham Now)

“This was such a unique and unexpected dish to find at a pizza restaurant. The dumplings have a similar texture to gnocchi, and the peanut sesame sauce is creamy and delicious. These were a crowd favorite!”

A pasta-tively perfect dish. (JeVante Shropshire / Bham Now)

“This dish gave me a nice warm feel inside and it was very filling. The shrimp was nice and fresh, and it had the perfect amount of cheese. It also had that kick that I always want in my pasta. This is something that everyone should try. You won’t be disappointed!”

4. Classic cheeseburger + fries from Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint

“Jack Brown’s is one of the coolest environments in Birmingham. However, that’s not even the best part. The regular cheeseburger that is drenched in Jack Brown’s sauce is my favorite burger that I have ever had!”

Want to know where to eat in Birmingham? The Market at Pepper Place has plenty of delicious options. (Jessica Broom / Bham Now)

“I wake up early every Saturday to grab a hot cup of coffee from Red Cat and head to The Market at Pepper Place across the street. I could honestly just stare at the beautiful breads and pastries from Hinkel’s booth all day, but instead of that, I usually grab an incredibly buttery and flaky Pain au Chocolat to enjoy as I wander through the rest of the market. It’s a very happy way to start my Saturday!”

6. Chicken and waffles from Roots & Revelry

Still dreaming about this brunch. (Cecilia Wood / Bham Now)

“Whenever I see chicken and waffles on a brunch menu, it’s a must-order for me. My friends and I celebrated Galentine’s Day by grabbing brunch at Roots & Revelry and their chicken and waffles were amazing. The chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful, the waffles were fluffy and it was all topped with ginger and lemongrass syrup that added even more flavor to the dish. Of course, mimosas were the perfect complement.”

A delicious lunch or dinner option with the perfect amount of sauce. (Nathan Watson / Bham Now

“My earliest memory of hanging out with my closest friends from college is eating at King’s Wings for the first time, so it’ll always have a special place in my heart. The wings are amazing, of course, but don’t sleep on their other offerings—I recommend the cheeseburger and Philly cheesesteak if you want to mix things up.”
