We are big fans of Yo’ Mama’s Chicken and Waffles, and these wings look pretty delectable, too.
2. Green Acres Café
According to their website, Green Acres Café received the Five Star Award from Birmingham’s Mayor Kincaid. Sounds like a must-try to us.
This 2nd Avenue hot spot is known for their “West Wings,” which are smoked, then fried and served with yum-yum sauce and ssamjang hot sauce.
4. Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint
Martin’s is the spot for all of your barbecue needs + some seriously tasty smoked wings.
Paramount’s wings are fall-off-the-bone tender. We recommend the Jamaican Jerk flavor.

Perfectly seasoned, crispy wings for you to enjoy.
8. King’s Wings
Wings fit for a king (or queen).
9. Slice Pizza and Brew
Slice is a great option for groups that aren’t all wing-eaters. Personally, I never skip their BBQ Chicken Pizza, but their fire-baked wings look pretty delicious, too.

12. Wings R King
With both boneless and bone-in wings and tons of flavors including Sweet & Sour, Teriyaki, Cajun, Sweet Chili and Sloppy Sauce, this might be your new favorite wing spot.
Stop by A-Wings for your fill of wings, sandwiches, salads, tasty sides and more.
14. On Tap Sports Cafe
On Tap is Birmingham’s “local craft sports bar” and, as the name suggests, they’ve got plenty of brews on tap. They also have delicious scratch-made pub food, including these tasty wings.
15. The Ridge
The Ridge is a casual neighborhood spot in Vestavia Hills that locals can’t get enough of. You can get your wings grilled or fried and tossed in a variety of sauces. First timer? Be sure to read the “House Rules” at the top of each menu.
16. Black Market Bar & Grill
Head to Black Market Bar & Grill for food, beer and “Evil Bartenders” to keep you company. The no-frills spot in Five Points is a favorite for tasty bar food in a relaxed atmosphere.
17. The Purple Onion
People love The Purple Onion for a lot of reasons, one being that they are open LATE… as in some locations open until 4AM kind of late. You could nearly have wings for breakfast!
18. Full Moon BBQ
Full Moon is a Birmingham staple for quality wings, as well as a variety of other barbecue favorites. Grab some wings, choose one of their signature sides and a half-dipped chocolate chip cookie. Wash it down with their perfectly sweet tea for the ideal Southern meal.
19. Wing it On
Tender wings, plenty of sauce and crispy waffle fries? Wing it on.
20. Baumhower’s Victory Grille
Home to football, wings and beer, Baumhower’s is a favorite for sports lovers and wing lovers alike. The interior is decked out in football memorabilia and TVs surround the space… it’s almost like being at the game IRL (but with better food).
Their legendary Buffalo wings are coated with Garlic Parmesan, seasoned with Lemon-Pepper, topped with sautéed onions and fresh Parmesan cheese, and then fire-roasted for the perfect bite.
21. Little Italy’s Pizza & Pints
Little Italy is another Five Points South favorite, known for their delicious Italian dishes and chicken wings. Pro tip: Try the wings with their house made Litty’s sauce.
22. Demetri’s BBQ
Demetri’s has been bringing tasty barbecue and wings to the Birmingham area since 1961. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and have a killer brunch on Sundays.

Not a fan of spicy? Don’t be fooled by the name—Eugene’s is serving up a little something for everyone, including wings in every flavor from Southern (no heat) to Stupid Hot (for the bold and daring).
24. Hattie B’s
Hattie B’s also has some very creative flavors for their wings, including my personal favorite: “Shut The Cluck Up,” listed with a burn notice. Grab a plate of wings and you’ll also get two signature sides, pickles and bread (to help with the burning).
25. Bham Wings and Waffles
Wings and waffles? What more could you ask for? Pay this local spot a visit and try out their namesake combo.
26. The Fennec
Come for the live music and tasty sips, stay for the Wally Wings.

Overtime is the place to be for any sporting event. They have plenty of TVs and a number of rotating drink and food specials, including discounts on their popular wings.
29. Saw’s BBQ Southside
You’ll only find these bad boys at Saw’s BBQ Southside and on their truck, Saw’s Street Kitchen. All other Saw’s restaurants have moved on to Smoked Thighs.
Extra sauce and pickles for mine, please.
30. Wings Plus
We have one of our Instagram followers to thank for contributing this Five Points West spot. They’ve been going since 1999, so be sure to pay them a visit.
