Magic City Art Connection (MCAC)—one of Birmingham’s most popular art festivals—returns Friday-Sunday, April 23-25. Held at a new location at Sloss Furnaces, expect: artists + vendors, food trucks, imagination festival for kids + more. Hours: Friday, Noon-6PM, Saturday 10AM-6PM, Sunday 10AM-5PM. Buy tickets here for $10-$12. Kids 15 + under are FREE.
Psst! Don’t miss out on Corks & Chefs, Saturday-Sunday, April 24-25. Taking place during MCAC, it showcases the best local restaurants, wineries, breweries + bars. Gates open at 10AM. Tickets to Corks & Chefs are sold separately from MCAC. Buy here for $40.
Gussy up, it’s time for the Oscar’s
Saturday, April 24 marks Mitchell’s Place’s largest annual fundraiser A Night at the Oscars. This year’s event takes place in-person at The Theodore (6PM) as well as virtually (6:30PM). Show your support for this local nonprofit that helps children + families affected by autism + other developmental disabilities by purchasing your ticket now.

Alabama Symphony Orchestra brings some of the most popular movies of all time to life in their virtual concert series Cinematic Strings. Conducted by the brilliant Chris Confessore, the Orchestra will play selections from movies like Beauty and the Beast, Psycho, Titanic + more. Kids under 12 get in FREE. *Proceeds from the event benefit the ongoing Beautification of Cahaba Heights through the Cahaba Heights Merchants Association.
It’s puppy time!
Now that I have your attention, The Barking Lot—a popup event for dogs + their hoomans—takes place Sunday, April 25 at Urban Supply.
