National Burger Day is Thursday, May 28, and you already know we are celebrating. We’ve done a few Bham Now burger guides before, but the list just keeps getting bigger and better. Here are 5 Birmingham burgers you have to try, plus where to get them curbside. 🍔 *Warning: mouth-watering may occur.

1. The Melt Cheeseburger from Melt 🤤

  • Must-Try: The Melt Cheeseburger — Cheesy, melty, ooey-gooey two-patty goodness sandwiched between Texas toast with Matilda Sauce to boot.

2. The Greg Brady at Jack Browns 🧀

  • Must-Try: The Greg Brady — A juicy burger topped with mac & cheese and BBQ chips. But let’s be honest, their whole menu is a must-try.

3. The Hamburger Fonfon from Chez Fonfon 👨🏻‍🍳

  • Must-Try: The Hamburger Fonfon — One of the best Birmingham burgers topped with comté cheese, grilled red onions, lettuce tomato and pickles. *chef’s kiss*

  • Must-Try: The Hero Burger — A classic with an all-beef patty, American cheese, onion, pickle and their cracked sauce. Simple and So. Good.

  • Must-Try: El Guapo Burger — A spicy specialty burger with two 4oz ground chorizo/beef patties, chipotle aioli, tomato salsa fresco, fried jalapeños and pepper jack cheese all stacked between two fresh buns. Are you drooling yet?

Bonus Burger: The Andy Mac from Ashley Mac’s 🍔

  • Must-Try: The Andy Mac — the newest addition to the Ashley Mac menu, the Andy Mac is a delicious double patty burger with Havarti cheese, poppy’s pickles, chop sauce all on a brioche bun. Plus, you can add bacon, lettuce, tomato AND pimento.
