10 reasons every post-grad should move to Birmingham

Here’s a picture of me walking across a stage, shaking hands with my university’s President (hey Dr. Bennett), and being handed the most expensive piece of paper I’ll ever hold. I had no idea what I was doing with my life starting the next morning. Can you see the joy and fear mixing in my eyes?

I graduated from college in May 2019. Starting approximately June 1, 2018, I was asked this question over, and over, and over again. You know the one: “So, what’s next?” Now, this was certainly well-intended and asked out of genuine curiosity. However, for a senior in college with no clue what they’re doing for spring break, much less with the rest of their lives, it can be a bit panic-inducing. College students, post-grads: have no fear! Pedal tours get a greenlight for alcohol!

When pedal buses such as Birmingham Pedal Tours first hit the streets, the City Council flat out refused to let them drink while riding.  The concerns the Council brought up were that the buses would slow traffic to a crawl even without drunk peddlers.  This week, City Council members Mike Fliegel and Julie Barnard proposed scrapping that restriction.  What does that mean for Birmingham beer enthusiasts?
