“Chamber Music @ AEIVA” is a free concert series that aims to present quality chamber music in an engaging, inviting environment. The series offers semesterly concerts that connect music with the art on display at the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts (AEIVA). Past performers have included UAB faculty and Alabama Symphony members, and music has ranged from Dvorak and Ravel to world premieres by regional composers. The series was founded in 2015.

ASC Presents: Anthony Trionfo and Albert Cano Smit

Flutist Anthony Trionfo was recently praised as a “breezily virtuosic flutist” by the New York Times after his New York concerto debut with a performance of the Ibert Flute Concerto with the Orchestra of Saint Luke’s under the baton of Teddy Abrahms in May 2019. Spanish/Dutch pianist Albert Cano Smit won First Prize at the 2019 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, and will make his New York debut at Merkin Concert Hall and his Washington, DC debut at the Kennedy Center. Performing together, these talented Young Concert Artists represent the bright future of classical music.

Celebrate the sounds of the season with the Birmingham Boys Choir! You do not want to miss this year's concert as 150 voices join in singing your favorite beloved carols as well as Christmas anthems. As our gift to the community, we invite you gather your friends and family to make this free concert a part of your holiday tradition. Every other year we invite BBC Fathers/Father figures to join us in performing in the concert. This year, we have over 30 dads singing with us as well as a few alumni.

Megan Moore is making waves as a young artist of versatility and depth. An award-winning opera and concert singer, she was awarded First Prize in the 2020 Young Concert Artists International Auditions and was a top prize winner at Gerda Lissner Lieder & Song Competition in 2019. For her appearance as Dorabella in Così fan tutte at The Juilliard School, OperaWire praised her “strength as an actress” and “undeniable sex appeal.” ​2021 promises major debuts for Megan. The first, at the Juilliard School, and her debut with Santa Fe Opera as a member of the prestigious Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Program for Singers!

Gregory Porter rose to acclaim in the 2010s with his earthy, cross-pollinated brand of jazz, soul, and gospel.
