Good news for barbecue fans along U.S. 280—SAW’s BBQ is opening its new Valley Post location on November 9.

Located near Chelsea at 1004 Dunnavant Valley Rd, just off U.S. 280, Valley Post, which opened on December 1, 2025, was a Pihakis Restaurant Group (PRG) brand-led development that hosted Hero Diner, Little Donkey, Luca & Lucy and Rodney Scott’s BBQ.

Unfortunately, in the spring of 2026, all four restaurants at Valley Post were among the numerous PRG-owned restaurants that closed earlier this year.

In July 2026, SAW’s BBQ announced it would establish its seventh Birmingham-metro area this fall at Valley Post.

Who else is coming to Valley Post?

SAW’s BBQ won’t be alone at the Chelsea development off U.S. 280.

Joining SAW’s at Valley Post are Waldo’s Chicken & Beer, the popular chicken joint that opened in September and Mobile-based Mo’Bay Beignet & Burger Co., which announced it was coming to the Chelsea development later this year.
