TrimTab closing taproom after 13 years in Birmingham

After more than a decade in the Magic City, one of Birmingham’s beloved craft breweries is preparing to pour its final pint. Today, TrimTab Brewing announced on social media that it will be closing its doors for good on July 4. Read on to learn more.

TrimTab Brewing—a local brewery known for its wide range of craft IPAs, stouts, sours, lagers and small-batch releases—is closing its doors on Saturday, July 4.
Trimtab announced the news on social media, stating:
“Thirteen years ago, TrimTab Brewing Co. was inspired by a metaphor from Buckminster Fuller: the belief that small forces create big change, and that we all have the power to Create a World You Love. From the beginning, our purpose has been to be a trimtab, create quality and innovative craft beer while delivering spirit through our gravitational nectar, experiences, and being a community-focused space to support local artists and organizations.
Our Tasting Gallery has been more than just a place to enjoy beer. It has been a living room for the community, a gallery for local artists, a stage for live music, and an inclusive space to bring people together from all walks of life.
The main two elements of our logo, the circle and the triangle, symbolize continuous change. Unfortunately, TrimTab Brewing Company’s next change is the closing of the Tasting Gallery.
We invite you to come raise a glass, and enjoy some beer and community with us between now and July 4, the final day of business for the Tasting Gallery. As you are catching a last show in the B Side, grabbing some of your favorite cans to-go, testing your knowledge at Monday trivia, or simply enjoying a pint on the patio, know that we are grateful to the Birmingham community and beyond.

According to the post, TrimTab plans to continue sales of TrimTab IPA and Paradise Now in select markets.
