How Birmingham Restaurant Week gives back

end hunger in Birmingham
Your participation in BRW helps feed those in need with Magic City Harvest. (Magic City Harvest)

Beyond supporting locally owned restaurants, Birmingham Restaurant Week continues its tradition of giving back to a food-based nonprofit in the community.

Their ongoing beneficiary partner is Magic City Harvest, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing food waste by rescuing surplus food from restaurants, schools, grocery stores and event venues before distributing it to organizations feeding people throughout the region.

Since its founding in 2010, Birmingham Restaurant Week has donated more than $100,000 to local nonprofits and community organizations.
