Welcome to another wonderful week, Birmingham!

As always, there are plenty of new businesses in The Magic City to check out. From a new downtown sports bar to a highly anticipated late-night taco bar, we’re here to make sure you stay up to date on what’s new and coming soon around town.

Plus, join us in saying farewell to two businesses closing later this month.

Now Open

1. Rambler’s Sports Bar & Grill | The Fennec

Our friends at The Fennec have made a new downstairs addition just in time for the end of football season– Rambler’s Sports Bar & Grill.

Rambler’s features massive projection screens and televisions for optimum gameday viewing. Plus, their menu includes everything from appetizers like conecuh corndogs and pimiento balls to tasty entrees like burgers and po’boys.

2. The Clotherie Boutique | Inverness Corners

This week, a locally-owned store called The Clotherie Boutique opened its second location at Inverness Corners in Hoover, just off Highway 280.

The shop carries stylish, upscale, size-inclusive fashion apparel in sizes ranging from small to 3X.Β They specialize in gameday attire, dresses, casual wear and shoes.

3. Salud | Downtown Birmingham

Last year, we reported that a new late-night taco bar was coming to the corner of 20th Street and 2nd Ave N in 2024.

Now, according to its Instagram, Salud is gearing up to open within the next few weeks. Salud is the newest project of local restauranteur Jesus Mendez, who also co-owns AdiΓ΅s, Uno’s Tacos, The Louis Bar and more.

4. BOSS | The Summit

BOSS, the core brand of HUGO BOSS, is opening a new store at The Summit later this year. It will be located between Warby Parker and Bath & Body works in the center of the shopping center.

Known for its classy men’s and women’s modern designs, BOSS will offer a wide selection of knitwear, casual wear, suits and denim.

5. MELT | Lane Parke

MELTβ€”known for its mouthwatering grilled cheese creationsβ€”is closing its Lane Parke location in Mountain Brook, according to a recent Instagram post.

The restaurant is moving away from day-to-day operations to focus on franchising and its new event space at Pepper Place, The Sage.

MELT at Lane Parke will close officially on October 26. MELT is still operating three locations in Hoover, Huntsville and Auburn.

6. Talbots | The Summit

Long-time women’s clothing store Talbots will be closing later this month. Following the rumored closure, Bham Now confirmed the information with Talbots corporate office.

The Summit location will shut its doors on October 26.
