Big Whiskey’s restaurant in Alabaster among new building permits

Of the four new building permits issued this past week in Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1 million, two are for projects in the Birmingham metro.

One of those is for a new restaurant in Alabaster. Here’s what we know:

Big Whiskey’s in Alabaster

The new Big Whiskey’s restaurant is located in the building that once was O’Charley’s at 285 South Colonial Drive in Alabaster.

Founded in Downtown Springfield, Missouri in 2006, Big Whiskey’s features a wide variety of menu items including several signature items like the famous Chicken Ranch Alfredo, The Honey Stung Burger, Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos and The Brunch Melt. 

The popular restaurant also has an extensive drink menu with 120+ whiskeys available, including rare and allocated bottles. 

The building permits is for $1.5 million, with Stanley Graham Construction LLC of Huntsville listed as the lead contractor.
