This past week, 12 new building permits were issued across the state for construction projects exceeding $1 million. Five of these permits are for projects in the Birmingham metro.

A $1.2 million permit was pulled for Union Hill Baptist Church in Bessemer for a new life center at the church, part of an ongoing renovation project.

A $2.1 million permit was pulled for 101 LC for renovations to a manufacturing warehouse in Pinson.
