Chubbfathers, the popular burger joint in Alabaster, has officially completed its move to a new location in Alabaster.

The new Chubbfathers opens today, January 8th, at 229 Kent Stone Blvd in Alabaster.

Declared in 2020 by the national pop culture digital publication – PopSugar – as the best burger spot in Alabama, Chubbfathers has a loyal following not only in Birmingham, but throughout the state of Alabama.

Chubbfathers: Making a difference

More than a restaurant, William Cholewinski – the Chubbfather – lives by the mantra “Feed the People – Love Everybody.”

For years, the restaurant has collected non-perishable food items from its customers  that are in turn donated to local food banks. Chubbfathers reward their customers who make a donation with a free soft drink.

Along with food drives, Chubbfathers over the years has dispatched their food truck to places that have experienced natural disasters.

Old location to be rebranded

In a January 7th announcement on Facebook, Cholewinski also announced the rebranding of their 1207 1st Street North, Alabaster location. The original site will be turned into a diner called Grub Station by Chubbfather.

Thanking Chubbfathers customers

Cholewinski ended his message about the relocation, the new opening and upcoming changes, thanking his customers.

“Thank you for making all this possible. Thank you for allowing a fat kid to live his dream. Thank you for giving my children a place where they can learn the value of a dollar. And thank you most of all for giving us a place that we can open up our hearts.”

The new Chubbfathers at 229 Kent Stone Blvd opens at 10:30AM.
